Yoga To Quit Smoking

Everyone knows that smoking is harmful and addictive, but few people realize just how risky and addictive it is. It is an addiction which is not every easy to get rid off. However one can quit smoking if he’s really determined to do so and to help him in this endeavor one and only thing which can help is – Yoga! Yes once again Yoga is the answer. Now the question is how can yoga help to quit smoking? Yoga helps in slowing down the heart rate, relaxing the muscles, calming down the nervous system and also keeps the blood pressure in control. Therefore yoga can definitely help in smoking cessation.

There are certain asanas and pranayamas which can be practiced to get rid of this bad habit:
1) Kundali Yoga Breathing Exercise – This asana will help you to quit smoking and get rid off addictions. Sit straight and close your eyes. Take 3-4 long deep breaths to help you calm down. After this, practice alternate nostril breathing for 1 min to 30 min.
